Academy Hosts Memorial Service
Dr. Maurice Charles Hack (1935 – 2010) was honored in a memorial service at Fresh and Green Academy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Monday, June 21, 2010. Dr. Hack was the father of Friends of Fresh and Green president and co-Founder Trish Hack-Rubinstein, husband of volunteer Barbara Hack and father-in-law of FFG secretary Gregg Rubinstein.
The service was attended by school administrator, Muday Mitiku and the mothers in the Cooperative. Three different faiths were represented: Coptic Christian, Moslem and Bahai’i. Muday and the mothers offered prayers of strength for the family and friends of Dr. Hack.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Viator Catholic Church in Henderson, Nevada on Tuesday, June 22. Immediately afterwards will be a celebration of Dr. Hack’s life. He is remembered as a loving father and husband, a dedicated and caring dentist, an avid golfer and an ardent supporter of Friends of Fresh and Green.
